This Is What $500 A Month In Rent Would Get You In Cities All Around The World

I recently ran across the Buzzfeed article This Is What $1,500 A Month In Rent Would Get You In Cities All Around The World. From my travels I knew that $1,500 was more than one needs to spend for a decent place in many places throughout the world. People are amazed when they find out how little they actually need to live in some great countries.

Remember when reading these prices that they are what the seller is asking, many cultures are very open to negotiation and even expect it.

  • Well this post seriously has me thinking! Thanks for the great read. That place is Bali looks great. Will keep this in mind for the future.

2 story, 3 bedroom house, 4 bathrooms + servants quarters in Santiago, Dominican Republic. 16500 pesos or about 400 US Nice neighborhood. Lived there 3 years before moving to my own land outside of the city. Locals told me rent was “muy caro” and I was paying “Gringo prices”

The one in Berlin is a 3d model

  • Pradana

US $500 for a month rent in indonesia is A LOT. Even in Jakarta, the most pricy city, you can get a very exclusive boarding house even in the middle of central bussiness district, or a 5×6 studio type apartement! But if you prefer to stay at premium hotel with all those services, chance is you will not stay longer than 3 days. Just dont stay at hotel if you are not rich, planning to stay longer than 7 days, or are a bussiness man for bussiness trips.

  • It would be very hard to find this kind of apartment for $500 in the centre of Barcelona. For that price you can realistically rent one bedroom in a shared flat.
